iTruth is a small business specializing in Truth Verification, utilizing state of the art Voice Stress analyse technology (AVSAPRO). This was chosen after extensive research into available technologies within the Truth Verification field.
iTruth was established in 2015 when owner and examiner Bruce Mac Intosh resigned from the South African Police after 25 years of service. The majority of his service was within the detectives as a Field Operator / Investigator.
iTruth started with clients within the Hospitality and Cleaning Industries and has had a long-standing relationship with one of SA’s top cleaning companies where we provide pre-employment screening tests and background checks for its staff. We also conduct “specific issue tests” as well as investigations relating to a wide variety of incidents such as theft, fraud, stock shrinkages, misconduct, etc.
What we DO
Pre-employment Screening
Why put your business at risk by employing someone who could be undesirable, misleading or dishonest. It is important that Employees can be trusted. Our pre-employment testing is a general honesty test into the areas of work history, education, criminality, honesty, illegal drug use, theft and fraud.
Periodic Integrity Screening
Once employed it is important to maintain employees hinesty and adherence to company policies and proceedures.These tests are conducted 2 to 3 times per year in the form of general honest in the fields required.
Specific Issue Tests
A specific issue test is carried out after an incident has occured and the questions relate specifically to the incident to eliminate the truthful and honest people from further investigation and to focus the investigation on the correct people.
Background checks
background checks can be done as a standalone screening method or form part of Pre-employment screening or Specific issue investigation.
The Technology
The Truth Verification Examination process (for Screening and Issue Investigation) is administered by means of AVSAPRO ™© digital voice-stress analysis. AVSAPRO is a validated means of psycho-physiological detection of deception (PDD). AVSAPRO captures and records .wav voice responses (phonemes) in spectrograph format. The recorded spectrograph is displayed in standardized gullwing form. AVSAPRO processes the recorded phonemes in a neural network database, trained with >15,000 known-solution phonemes in format of “No’.
AVSAPRO utilizes PDD validated question constructs of Cleve Backster and John Reid.
AVSAPRO prohibits the use of non-validated question constructs. AVSAPRO prohibits the violation of homeostasis restoration phase in between each question. A minimum waiting period is enforced and cannot be manipulated. The exclusive, integral cadence control feature of AVSAPRO ensures that the subject response is captured at the same point in the response curve of every individual examinee, thus producing consistency and reliability into each examination.
AVSAPRO automatically rotates each Relevant Question from chart to chart, thus eliminating common, but serious errors that occur in manual voice-stress systems.
The trained neural network of AVSAPRO prevents false negative or false positive calls that can occur during manual scoring. AVSAPRO decisions are based upon a neural network trained with thousands of known-solution outcomes, made by PDD experts over a decade.
